Sterk Find — Privacy Policy

Sterk Find is an AI guided-shopping app for Shopify stores, operated by Sterk Commerce. This page describes exactly what data the app stores and how it is used.

What we store (per store)

• Catalog data and embeddings — product titles, handles, prices, vendors, option values and short descriptions from your store's catalog, plus numerical embeddings derived from them. Used to power the guided-search funnel. Rebuilt on demand; deleted on uninstall.
• Funnel configuration — the guided-funnel plans you create or generate (budget ranges, question labels, synonyms).
• Anonymous session counters — aggregate funnel metrics (session counts, question-answer counts, whether a session reached the comparison step). No tracking cookies on your storefront, no customer identifiers, no IP storage.
• Usage rollups — per-store AI usage (token counts and estimated cost) for billing transparency.

What we do NOT store

No shopper personal information of any kind: no names, emails, addresses, order data, or browsing profiles. The app requests only read access to products, locales and themes.

The one exception is deliberate and yours: if you ask for early access on our website, we store the email address (and store URL, if you give one) you typed, so we can contact you about onboarding. Nothing else, and never anything collected from your store. Ask us at any time and we delete it.

Third parties

Catalog text is sent to OpenAI to compute embeddings and generate funnel copy (subject to OpenAI's API data policies; API inputs are not used to train their models). No other third parties receive store data.

Our marketing site

This website (find.sterkcommerce.com) uses Google Analytics to count visits to our public pages, which sets analytics cookies in your browser. It runs only on these public marketing pages — never inside the Shopify admin, and never on a merchant's storefront, so no shopper and no store data ever reaches Google. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies.

Data deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes all stored data for your store (configuration, embeddings, metrics, usage), and the same purge runs again on Shopify's shop/redact compliance webhook 48 hours after uninstall.
