FAQ and troubleshooting

Answers to common Sterk Find questions: empty funnels, missing products, generic-looking cards, wrong language, speed and privacy, and how to reach support.

The short version for most issues: check that the catalog index is built (Dashboard) and that a funnel is enabled (Funnels). Those two cover most of what looks broken on a fresh install. The rest is below.

The find page shows nothing, or says the store is not configured.

Two things must be true before the funnel renders: the catalog index has been built at least once (Dashboard, Reindex), and a funnel is enabled (Funnels). A fresh install has neither. If both are done and the page is still empty, check that your plan is active on the Dashboard plan card, then contact support.

New products are missing, or prices look outdated in the funnel.

The funnel works from your catalog index, which is a snapshot taken at reindex time. Press Reindex on the Dashboard after large catalog changes. Reindexing is manual on purpose, with a fair-use allowance per store, so you always know when the snapshot was taken.

Product cards look generic instead of matching my theme.

Sterk Find renders cards through your theme card snippet. Most themes based on Shopify OS 2.0, including the Dawn family, are detected automatically. If your theme is heavily customized the app falls back to a neutral built-in card and the Dashboard shows a fallback notice. Contact support with your theme name and we will map the snippet for you.

Shoppers see the wrong language.

The funnel follows the storefront language of the page the shopper came from, and falls back to the browser language for direct links. Make sure a funnel exists in that language and is enabled. Running funnels in several languages at once is a Pro feature; on other plans the funnel serves its own written language.

The quick add button on cards does nothing.

Some themes attach quick add behavior with scripts that only run on their own pages. If quick add works on your collection pages but not in the funnel, turn on the hide quick add option in the app settings; shoppers then use the product page as usual.

Will Sterk Find slow my store down?

No. The funnel page is served through the Shopify app proxy inside your theme, and it loads no third-party scripts, no tracking pixels and no cookies on your storefront. The heavier AI work happens on our servers, not in the shopper browser.

What shopper data does it collect?

None that identifies anyone. The app stores no shopper names, emails, orders or profiles, and sets no cookies on the storefront. Funnel metrics are anonymous counts, deleted automatically after 90 days. The full privacy policy is at find.sterkcommerce.com/privacy.

What happens when I uninstall?

All data stored for your store is deleted: configuration, the catalog index and metrics. Shopify triggers a second compliance purge 48 hours after uninstall. Billing ends with the uninstall.

How do I reach support?

Email [email protected] from your store owner address and include your myshopify.com domain. Pro and Scale plans get priority handling.
